Spring Cleaning for Busy Moms

I am sharing my top five cleaning tips for busy moms.

Simple cleaning tips for busy and on-the-go moms

Spring has sprung and I’ve been enjoying every moment of it. In my Spring Fashion post, I shared that Spring is my favorite season.  To me, Spring is synonymous with “ushering in something new”.  It’s also a time when I find myself purging kids’ clothes and toys, brightening up the household decor, and swapping out fall and winter candles for more spring floral scents.  Being my favorite season, the last thing I want to do is get stuck in the house cleaning when I can be outside enjoying the fresh air, cool breeze, and warm (but not too hot) weather.  In today’s post, I am sharing my top five Spring cleaning tips for busy moms.

I’ve met moms who love cleaning, however, it’s not for me.  I simply do it because I have to.  Here lately, I have been budgeting for cleaning services and it has been life-changing.  I wish we had availability in our budget to select weekly cleaning we will stick with monthly until we can increase the frequency.

If you’re a mom who’s nailed and solidified a cleaning routine, share your tips in the comments.  I will not pretend to be an expert in this area.  I am actually far from it and still learning hacks, tips and tricks.

Spring Cleaning

When I was a kid, my mother had a spring cleaning tradition. It seemed like each year, we would usher in the spring season by cleaning, changing out some decor, and decluttering.  As a kid, I didn’t appreciate it as much as I do now.

Something is refreshing about transitioning from winter to spring in multiple aspects of life.

To Wrap it Up

As you are purging your items, don’t forget to consider finding a new home for your gently used items. We support our local shelters and Goodwill whenever possible.  Our neighborhood also has a buy, sell, trade community that is active throughout the year.  Another family may enjoy your no longer needed items, so consider others when you purge.

Creating a Home Management Planner

As an added bonus… I’m sharing how I set up my Home Management Planner. I’ve gotten away from this type of planning but, I will be revisiting it in the near future. The state of our household is in need of this system. Trust me, mom, it happens to us all.
