5 Bible Scriptures About Consistency

Here are 5 encouraging bible scriptures that will encourage moms who struggle with being consistent.

My go-to scriptures that encourage consistency

I always find encouragement, and more, whenever I study, reflect on, or hear the word of God. The Bible is a great resource for working moms, and anyone else for that matter, who is looking to navigate life with joy and success. Most importantly, it provides me with a great source of encouragement. I am reminded of the scripture in 1 Samuel 30:6 “…David encouraged himself in the Lord his God”. When I struggle with consistency, I encourage myself with scriptures that provide me with the motivation to keep going.

In today’s post, I am sharing five bible scriptures that will encourage moms who struggle with being consistent.

“And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.”

1 Samuel 30:6 King James Version

Consistency is Key

Being consistent with tasks is a foundational element of success and helps working mothers create much-needed life routines. Consistency creates self-discipline and also creates structure in our homes. For me, my kids get confused when there is a lack of consistency. They like to know the flow to go with the said flow. Inconsistency has led to behavioral challenges and miscommunications. I save myself the trouble and strive to be consistent with my actions and my day.

One thing that I would like to point out is that consistency is not synonymous with rigid. Definitions of rigid include, stiff or unyielding and firmly fixed. Remain consistent but allow room to appreciate life and room to pivot when needed.

For example, my goal this season is to blog every day. I have been consistent for over 60-days now. I have been consistent which I am extremely proud of. However, I am not extremely rigid. I get a post out daily but the time of day is my flexibility point. It allows room for me to juggle my commitment that is equally important, or more important in some cases, without stress and feeling overwhelmed.

5 Scriptures about Consistency

1 Corinthians 15:58 (ESV) “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”

Galatians 6:9 (ESV) “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

Matthew 5:37 (ESV) “Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’…”

Proverbs 16:3 (ESV) “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.”

Luke 16: 10-11 (ESV) “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. 11 If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches?”
