Working Mom Self- Care Tips

The truth about being a woman who works outside of the home, is that finding time for self-care is hard!  We’ve all heard the saying “You can’t pour from an empty cup” – Unknown

Here are 4 tips to help you on your self-care journey!

1) Schedule Self-Care time. 

Let your kids, spouse, family and friends know that on”xyz date” at “xyz time” is MOMMY TIME! Set the expectation that you are not to be disturbed unless there is blood, flood, or fire and stick to your schedule.

2) Get creative!

Self-care doesn’t require tons of money or lots of time. Spend time in your prayer closet, go for a walk, workout, have a DIY spa day at home or simply go in your room and close the door.

3) Select express spa services

There have been times when I have gone to the nail salon on my lunch break. Did you know most salons offer express packages. #winning

4) See what your job has to offer

With an increased focus on wellness in the work place, many employers now offer onsite health and wellness services. Take the time to utilize these services on your lunch break, before or after work!
