Christmas has always been my absolute favorite time of year. I recall several memorable moments from my childhood and am excited about creating memories with my kids. I believe a parent’s presence is the best present of all.
Typically, my children receive one “large” gift each, and we focus more on experiences. They also purchase gifts for each other and of course receive items from family members. It’s magical watching my kid’s eyes light up about experiences. I find that my children more fondly remember moments more than the gifts that they receive.
One of our experiences this year included the Light the Knights Festival, presented by Truist, in Charlotte, NC. We spend the entire morning in Charlotte taking in the downtown scene and enjoying the festivities. The Charlotte Knights baseball field was converted into an ice skating rink and snow tubing hill. The event also featured light shows, entertainment, holiday treats, Christmas trees, shopping, Santa, snow, and more!

There were so many fun and festive activities to choose from.
